Membership at the Society

Operations are designed around the needs of real fishers in the 21st century. There are rules, but we don’t fuss. All rivers are open every day throughout the season and there’s winter fishing on the lakes.

Almost all payments are made via the intranet, and membership can be paused for a year or more at any time. The Society is owned and run by its members

Becoming a member

The process starts when you contact the Secretary and ask for more information

Receive information

She will send you full information in our prospective member Guide along with a recent Annual Fisheries Report and a link to the application form

Apply

When you’re ready to proceed, complete the form online and submit it

Committee review

The Committee reviews every application and, where there’s no proposer or seconder, arranges to talk (and maybe fish with) with the applicant

Waiting list

We manage an efficient waiting list which does not keep applicants hanging around

Welcoming new members

New members have full membership rights as soon as the financials are complete, and there’s proper induction at the New Members’ Day
